According to our 7th Tradition,Every OA group ought to be fully self-supporting through its own contributions,neither soliciting nor accepting outside donations. Each group supports each level of OA,with a suggested donation of 30% to the World Service Office,10% to local Region,and 60% to local Intergroup.
What is your money used for?
World Service
World Service Office (WSO) of OA is located in Rio Rancho,New Mexico. WSO provides services to newcomers,prepares and distributes literature,creates Lifeline and hosts conventions and conferences to carry the message.
Region 8
- Establishes and maintains a Region 8 Speaker/Leader List
- Provides outreach services to outlying areas of the Region and isolated members in the region.
- Sponsors and organizes three Region Business Assemblies and Recovery Conventions a year.
- Provides funding to assist regional representatives attendance at Assemblies.
- Provides funding assistance for Public Information projects.
- Works with Intergroups to present Service &Tradition Workshops throughout the region.
- Exchange ideas on how to carry the OA message
- Address Intergroup and meeting concerns
- Provide a format for selection of Trustee nominees
- Assist in providing unity of groups and organization of Intergroups within Region 8.
