A Letter to the Military

Dear Sir or Madam:

In connection with your commitment to health maintenance for military (educational) personnel and their families, I (we) hope you will consider what a twelve-step program has to offer those service men and women (educators) and their families who struggle with food issues.  It has become increasingly clear that food issues can interfere with military readiness (educational efforts) and with the well-being of military families.

Twelve-step programs such as Overeaters Anonymous (OA) offer understanding, confidentiality, comfort, and the tools that help people who suffer the physical and emotional penalties that accompany food problems, such as overeating and binge eating, bulimia and anorexia.

We are aware that some military personnel and their families may deal with food issues, and because we know and have experienced  the recovery  that is available through OA, we would like to offer the benefits of OA to those military personnel (educators) and their families who would thrive in the free, anonymous, non-judgmental, and effective program that is Overeaters Anonymous.

May we meet with you and explain what OA has to offer and to answer questions you may have?  If interested, please send an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Thank you!
