Newsletter Entry –11/07

We are very excited to have the Region 8 Business Assembly and Convention in Memphis! We sincerely hope that you choose to come because we have been working hard to provide the opportunity for “3 Days of Serenity,Love and Abstinence.”

I hope you consider joining the Publications Committee. As you may know, the website (www.oaregion8.org) has been revised and updated. Joel, our webmaster, will be in Memphis for the Business Assembly and Convention. We are very grateful for his service. This committee is very interested in receiving any feedback, comments and/or suggestions about the website. This is YOUR website! We want it to continue to grow and change to meet needs of Region 8,so we need your ideas, input and support to make that happen!

While you are at the business assembly/convention,don’t forget to pick up a copy of the latest newsletter which is also available on the website. Feel free to make copies to take to your meetings so more members can find out about what is happening in the region. You may also check out the Lifeline Display so that you can receive information about becoming a Lifeline representative for your meeting. We have a wonderful Lifeline meeting in Memphis! Our group would love to share about this meeting with anyone who is interested in starting a Lifeline meeting in their area.

Back to the website, please don’t forget to send a flyer for your next event to me (Publicationschairman@oaregion8.org) so that it can be posted under the new Events calendar on the website.

These are the flyer guidelines:

The words “Overeaters Anonymous”must be prominently displayed on all Flyers. When submitting flyers and announcements please include the name, address and zip code of your meeting place. Please include this statement on the last line of your flyer:“Additional copies of this flyer can be downloaded at www.oaregion8.org”

Thanks for this opportunity to give service. I hope to see you in Memphis!
